What does the 'new normal' look like for accommodation providers? Well, we're certainly seeing a large portion of providers leaning towards digitising their workflow. This could be simply using emailed versions of ID from tenants to fully immersing their paper based processes into a digital setup. Swipe Property Management Software has helped many landlords and letting agents streamline and digitise their process throughout the country's lockdown. We're constantly adapting and adding to our software. We don't stand still with our software much like the industry doesn't stand still with introduction of new rules / regulations for landlords. Our onboarding process is very quick and doesn't impact workflow. Onboarding is quick and hassle free. The lockdown period has highlighted the importance of becoming a digital landlord / letting agent. With tenant's safety at the forefront, tenants are able to use our dedicated tenant app to report maintenance issues. This is particularly useful with students just moving in. As landlords will know, maintenance is always an on-going process, we do however see that requests do increase at the beginning of tenancies. As tenancies have recently started, now would be a great time to onboard your process to a digital system. Our software gathers all of the student's maintenance requests in one simple place. From here, you can delegate jobs to contractors, mark as pending or completed. Tenants have the option to upload photos to support and help explain their issue further. We've found that having this image upload feature, maintenance contractors find it beneficial as they can better understand what tools or what type of job the issue is and if they need to bring with them any replacement parts. Maintenance contractors can also download the landlord app to check any maintenance issues that come in from students on the go. We've found that contractors or dedicated on site maintenance staff are rarely in one place, so them having the ability to access a list of pending issues wherever they are can help speed up their job and prevent going back to an office then back out into the field.
